ORIENTATION 2024
The start of a technical revolution! Orientation 2024 was our first large-scale event with 50+ students, featuring award-winning projects like Jerry the Micromouse (NSSC 2024 winner), a hexacopter, and gesture-controlled RC cars.

Orientation 2024 was a standout moment for the Mechatronics Club, becoming our first large-scale orientation with more than 50 students in attendance. The event held in Jan 2024 introduced newcomers to the club’s purpose, culture, and technical journey, them a glimpse of what the community had achieved and how it has grown.

During the orientation, we showcased several of our newly built innovations, including a hexacopter, a gesture-controlled RC car, and a range of custom-designed metal bots built for robosumo and robosoccer. One of the highlights of the display was Jerry, the micromouse, which had secured a win at NSSC 2024. These demonstrations reflected the club’s increasing technical capability and the diverse projects its members had been developing.

A blog competition was also held prior to the orientation to encourage creativity and technical writing among students. The results were announced during the event, and the winners received certificates and exciting prizes in recognition of their efforts and enthusiasm.

Orientation 2024 remains a memorable chapter in the club’s history, an event that brought together curiosity, talent, and a shared passion for building and innovation.
